A strategist's approach to career moves

What if you treated your job search like a market entry?

Companies don't enter new markets by blasting out resumes and hoping. They map territories. They build positioning. They identify where they have the strongest right to win. Your career deserves the same rigor.

Most career advice tells you to network more. This isn't that.

This is territory mapping. The same framework strategy consultants use to help companies figure out where to play and how to win, applied to your career. Instead of chasing every open role, you identify 2-3 focused territories where your background is strongest and the story is most compelling.

Each territory gets its own positioning, its own narrative, its own search strategy. Not one resume tweaked five ways. Three distinct, defensible cases for why you belong.

The output isn't advice. It's a fully built strategic plan: mapped territories, real job postings scored for fit, tailored narratives, target companies, LinkedIn search strings, and a week-by-week action plan. An interactive tool you can open on your phone and execute from today.

Built by a strategist who's spent 15 years in innovation consulting, hired dozens of candidates, and landed every major career move through cold outreach. The methodology comes from real experience on both sides of the table.

01

Map, don't spray

Define 2-3 career territories based on where your experience creates the strongest "right to win." See your options as concentric circles of fit, not a flat list of job titles.

02

Position, don't summarize

Build a distinct narrative for each territory. The same career told three different ways, each answering: why you, why this role, why now.

03

Execute, don't hope

Get actual search strings, target company lists, and a week-by-week plan. Replace refreshing job boards with a system designed to generate conversations.

Sound familiar?

You spend hours breaking down problems at work. But when it comes to your own career, you're doing it on the back of a napkin.

You've got a few roles under your belt, maybe across different functions or industries, and you're not sure which direction to commit to next. Or you know you want something different. You're just not sure what that looks like.

You're stuck between two bad options: work your network and wait, or send resumes into a black hole and hope for a response that never comes. Neither one feels like a strategy.

You're trying to make one resume work for multiple directions, tweaking keywords here and there, when what you actually need are distinct narratives for distinct paths. One resume can't tell three different stories.

You know you're qualified. You just can't articulate why you're the right person for this specific role, at this specific company, right now. That's the gap between a strong background and a strong case.

What you get back

You complete a detailed strategic intake. We build everything below, personalized to your background, your ambitions, and the real market. Delivered as an interactive tool you can open on any device.

Territory Mapping

2-3 focused career territories, defined and mapped for you

Your strategy identifies the specific clusters of roles, industries, and company types where your background is strongest and where the story is most compelling. Each territory comes with a clear narrative for why you belong, your credible way in, and an honest read on gaps to address. Visualized as concentric circles so you can see at a glance where you're a core fit, where you're adjacent, and where you're making a strategic stretch.

Real Job Postings

Actual open roles, scored for fit

Not hypothetical roles. Real, current job postings at named companies matched to your seniority level and location. Each one scored for fit and annotated with why it connects to your profile. Organized by territory so you can see the live market for every direction you're considering.

Your Story — By Territory

Distinct narratives and modular resume foundations for each direction

The same career can be told in very different ways. Your strategy includes a distinct positioning for each territory: the pitch, the resume emphasis, the story angles that make you the obvious candidate. This gives you the foundation for modular resume versions, each tailored to a specific direction. No more trying to make one resume stretch across every opportunity.

Search Strategy

Specific search strings, target companies, and channels

LinkedIn boolean search strings you can copy and paste. A list of 10-15 target companies per territory. Channels beyond LinkedIn: niche job boards, industry newsletters, exec search firms, community events, direct career pages. Plus a networking strategy tailored to each territory. Not generic advice. Actual tools you can use today.

Action Plan

A week-by-week plan for executing with discipline

A structured plan that tells you exactly what to do and when, plus a built-in workbook for refining your pitch, tracking outreach, and making decisions when competing offers land. Designed to keep you focused, strategic, and moving forward instead of refreshing job boards and hoping something sticks.

See it for yourself

Your strategy is an interactive tool with 10 sections, each built from your intake. Compare territories side by side, click into real postings, and use the workbook to refine your approach as you go.

Let's talk

What clients are saying

"

I'd been applying to everything and hearing nothing. The territory map showed me I was spreading myself across five directions when I had a really strong case for two. Within three weeks of focusing, I had four conversations going.

Senior Marketing Manager, career pivot
"

The strategy session changed how I talk about my career. I kept saying I was "a generalist" and she reframed my entire narrative around three specific territories where my experience is genuinely differentiated. I walked out with a completely different story.

VP Operations, exploring next move
"

I didn't expect real job postings scored for fit. I thought I'd get a framework and figure it out myself. Instead I opened the tool and there were actual roles at actual companies, ranked by how well they matched my background. That was the moment I realized this was different.
